Communication Conference for RVTs
Let’s Talk About Those Difficult Convo’s
RVTs, you ROCK!
This 2 day workshop is designed for the active RVTs that are challenged by clients on the daily! Difficult people, hard conversations, challenging work environments, we hear you!
This special workshop will provide attendees with dialogue skills to manage the challenging situations and turn those difficult interactions into interesting & rewarding ones.
Do any of these sound familiar?
“We can’t pay for that…”
“Why can’t you see us today?”
“Where is the veterinarian, why can’t I talk to them?”
“What do you mean I have to wait…..”
“Wow, I had no idea this would cost that much.”
“But I did my job and rescued this animal, why don’t you guys care?”
“I am so tired, I can’t even… - this job is getting too hard.”
“I didn’t get into this profession to deal with this kind of crap.”
RVTs - we can build skills to help with all of these conversations and “Bring The Joy” back into your day!

Becky Taylor
Becky Taylor has been dedicated to her career as a Registered Veterinary Technologist for over 25 years. In that time, she has worked in mixed animal practice, in education, and in corporate veterinary medicine. She has participated in hundreds of CE opportunities, sat on many national and provincial boards and considers herself a lifelong learner. A pinnacle of this learning was in 2016, when Becky completed a Master of Arts in Professional Communication through Royal Roads University. Her final project was authoring a paper on the role of RVT’s with clients and resulted in the creation of a communication model for RVT’s.
Becky shares her life with husband, Colin, and their 2 children, Nick and Maddy as well as many fur friends. Her passion outside of family and work is her horses and she can be found spending lots of her free time developing her skills in horsemanship as well as being with her herd of 4! She has recently partnered with a friend to create another cool side biz, The Horsewoman’s Club.
