Do you ever find giving feedback to be challenging or awkward, especially when you are talking about poor performance or lack of skill? Have you ever felt offended by someone giving you that feedback to "help" you be better at something? Let's discuss proactive ways to give and to receive feedback in a way that is meaningful and useful using good dialogue skills and positive intent.
In this session we will:
Identify core dialogue skills
Review strategies for giving feedback
Evaluate our own response to feedback Create a "what not to do" list
Have some great conversations
About our Speaker:
Becky Taylor is a "vintage" RVT, having been in the profession of veterinary medicine for almost 30 years. In that time she has worked in practice, in education, in industry and is now operating her own business, BS Communication Strategies. She coaches and teaches communication skills to individuals, groups, teams, and students in a practical, evidence based, way. She has participated provincially, nationally, and internationally in the leading & supporting of veterinary medicine, attended hundreds of CE opportunities and is a strong advocate for the impact of having an excellent team. A pinnacle of her education was completing an MA in Professional Communication in 2016 which propelled her to starting BS Communication Strategy where she "Coaches People to Communicate Better." Becky is a Communication Nerd!

Legacy Dental Club is supported by an advisory committee of local dental specialists. The Club exists to bridge the collaborative care gap between dental healthcare providers. Our focus is on multidisciplinary treatment planning, enhancing dental knowledge and clinical skill, and contributing to practice growth while staying abreast of changes in our industry.
