Good Leadership = Good Culture. Two full days of leadership training revolving around communication, connection and collaboration. Topics include; communication plans, leading change, refining dialogue skills, managing conflict, creating and maintaining positive team culture. Leaders unite here, build confidence and collaborate with other leaders.
Day 1:
Learn about and design a communication plan that will be modified, reviewed and revised long after the course is done. Building strategies to navigate change in your organization, workplace or team.

Learn the stages of change and how to be prepared for them

Day 2:
Introduction and overview of six, evidence based, dialogue skills,
presented in a way that all attendees can begin to build their skills. While there is no ‘role
play’, attendees will share case studies and challenges and will discuss how to apply the
skills in all conversations. Special attention paid to managing and navigating conflict conversations.

Introduction of strategies to talking about money & value with clients

Leadership Workshop Speakers
Becky Taylor, RVT, MA
Becky Taylor has been dedicated to her career as a Registered Veterinary Technologist for over 25 years. In that time, she has worked in mixed animal practice, in education, and in corporate veterinary medicine. She has participated in hundreds of CE opportunities, sat on many national and provincial boards and considers herself a lifelong learner. A pinnacle of this learning was in 2016, when Becky completed a Master of Arts in Professional Communication through Royal Roads University. Her final project was authoring a paper on the role of RVT’s with clients and resulted in the creation of a communication model for RVT’s.
Becky shares her life with husband, Colin, and their 2 children, Nick and Maddy as well as many fur friends. Her passion outside of family and work is her horses and she can be found spending lots of her free time developing her skills in horsemanship as well as being with her herd of 4! She has recently partnered with a friend to create another cool side biz, The Horsewoman’s Club.
Sage McIntosh, MA
Sage McIntosh has been deeply involved in a communication role for her entire career. She spent 17 years in Radio and Television News Media and is no stranger to high stress, high energy, "need to know now" communication. She has led small and large teams in the corporate and non-profit sectors and been responsible for inter company communications as well as client facing interactions. She specializes in Media Relations, Public Relations and Organizational Comms. Her special interest is in Crisis Communication and in Communication Strategizing and Planning. She believes the best defense for difficult interactions is to have a good offense, in other words, a great plan! She is a lifelong learner and continues to grow her skills through the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
Sage shares her life with husband, Eddie, and their three children and is a dedicated pet owner of one very large English Mastiff and three very dynamic cats! She spends her time outside of work being with her busy family, running and training for marathons.
